Utica Police Announce Multiple Arrests Following Separate Incidents

Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest

On December 20, 2024, Utica Police units responded to Pleasant Street and Mohawk Street after reports of a road rage incident involving a weapon.
According to Utica Police, a man exited his vehicle and threatened the victims with a large knife. As the victims attempted to flee, the suspect pursued them, forcing their vehicle to stop by blocking their path. The suspect again exited his vehicle and made further threats before the victims managed to escape.
Thanks to identifying information provided by the victims, officers located the suspect, Christopher Feralo, 38, of Utica, at a nearby residence. Feralo was positively identified as the suspect and taken into custody. He was charged with:

▪︎ Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree
Arrest Made in Walmart Theft Investigation

On December 16, 2024, Utica Police arrested a suspect involved in a petit larceny case at Walmart after loss prevention staff observed him concealing items.
The suspect was transported to the Utica Police Department, where he provided a false name and signed booking documents with the fake identity. Fingerprint analysis revealed his true identity as Michael Oliver, 22, of Utica.
Oliver was charged with:

High-Speed Chase and Escape Attempt Ends in Arrest

On October 20, 2024, around 7:30 PM, officers with the Utica Crime Prevention Unit and Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations near Court Street and Schuyler Street. The driver fled, leading to a short pursuit, which was terminated due to reckless speeds.
Later, the same vehicle was spotted near Parker Street. The driver pulled into a driveway and fled on foot. Officers pursued and detained the suspect, identified as Kendra Kenyon, 28, with no known address.
Kenyon resisted arrest and provided false information, but officers eventually confirmed her identity and discovered outstanding warrants. She complained of ankle pain and was taken to Wynn Hospital. Following her release, Kenyon attempted to escape custody but was quickly apprehended.

Attempted Robbery Investigation Yields Arrest

On November 25, 2024, Utica Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Stark Street for a reported robbery.
The victim stated that two individuals followed him into his backyard, threatened him with a handgun, and attempted to steal his belongings. The victim resisted and yelled for help, causing the suspects to flee.
Through surveillance footage and investigative efforts, police identified the suspects. On December 20, 2024, Sebastian Smith, 19, of Utica, was arrested and charged with:
