LEE, N.Y. — A Town of Lee man has been arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with an underage female, according to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
The investigation began on March 21, 2025, when the Child Advocacy Center received a report that an adult male had subjected a female child to sexual contact. The case was assigned to Utica Police Investigator Ryan Kelly, with assistance from Sheriff’s Investigator Mark R. Chrysler and Rome Police Detective Alexis Perry, all of whom are assigned to the center.
Investigators determined that 37-year-old Robert Didomenico allegedly engaged in sexual contact with the child earlier in the week. A search warrant for Didomenico’s Town of Lee residence was obtained and executed with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Identification Unit and Road Patrol. Additional evidence was discovered corroborating the allegations.
On March 24, 2025, Investigators Kelly and Chrysler located Didomenico in Utica, where he was arrested and charged with:
Rape in the 3rd Degree (Class E Felony)
Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor)
Didomenico was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing before being taken to the Sheriff’s Correctional Facility. He was arraigned at CAP Court and held on $30,000 cash bail.
An Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the child, and victim support services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center.
