SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY AFTER BREAK-IN AT ST. ELIZABETH CAMPUS

UTICA, NY – Several individuals are in police custody following an alleged break-in at a building on the St. Elizabeth campus. The incident occurred on the afternoon of August 28, 2024, when three suspects were reportedly caught on camera entering the building with flashlights.
According to radio transmissions, officers responded to the scene around 2:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers observed at least one suspect inside the building at 2213 Genesee Street, which is adjacent to the former St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Shortly after the officers' arrival, three male suspects attempted to flee from the scene but were quickly apprehended and detained by police.
The suspects are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the break-in.
