Stabbing Incident on Kemble Street: Suspect in Custody



 

UTICA, NY – On the evening of September 26th, 2024, at approximately 8:00 PM, Utica Police and Fire units were dispatched to a residence on the 1400 block of Kemble Street in response to a stabbing investigation.



Upon arriving at the scene, officers spoke with the victim who reported that they had been involved in a heated argument with a male acquaintance. As the argument escalated, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the face with a fork. Fortunately, the victim's injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.



The suspect, identified as 38-year-old David Bowie of Utica, was taken into custody at the scene without incident. Bowie was transported to the Utica Police Department, where he was charged with Attempted Assault in the second degree.
