WHITESTOWN, NY – Several area fire departments were called to the scene of a serious single-vehicle accident on Clark Mills Road Sunday afternoon, where a woman was trapped under an overturned vehicle.
The accident occurred near 7863 Clark Mills Road around 3 p.m. when rescue crews arrived to find a vehicle that had veered off the road and come to rest on its side against a tree. An unidentified female driver was pinned beneath the wreckage.

Firefighters and rescue teams worked urgently, employing airbags and the Jaws of Life to carefully lift the vehicle and extricate the driver. After a successful extrication, LifeNet air ambulance arrived, landing in a nearby field to transport the woman to a hospital. Her condition remains unknown.
