Rome Man, 71, Arrested on Misdemeanor Charges of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor

 

ROME, NY — October 31, 2024 —Myron Ralph, a 71-year-old resident of Rome, was arrested by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center on several misdemeanor charges related to alleged sexual misconduct with a minor.



Ralph faces one count of Forcible Touching (a class “A” misdemeanor), one count of Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child Less Than 17 (class “A” misdemeanor), and one count of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree (class “B” misdemeanor). According to investigators, Ralph reportedly engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a 16-year-old female in the Town of Trenton.



Following his arrest, Ralph was arraigned in the Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court, where he was held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or a $20,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in Trenton Town Court.
