JUVENILE SUSPECT FLEES AFTER ROBBERY AT MARKET 32 IN SOUTH UTICA

UTICA, NY – On Saturday evening, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Utica Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at Market 32 in South Utica.
Upon arrival, officers were informed of an altercation between a store employee and a juvenile who was attempting to steal items from the store. During the confrontation, the juvenile dropped a black handgun that he had in his possession. He quickly retrieved the weapon and fled the scene, running through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 13-14 years old, wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and shorts at the time of the incident.
The Utica Police Department is actively investigating the robbery and is urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect's whereabouts to contact them at 315-223-3556.
