House Fire in Clark Mills Quickly Contained, No Injuries Reported

Clark Mills, NY – December 29, 2024 – Several area fire departments quickly responded to a house fire early this morning at 12 Pratt Avenue in Clark Mills. Fire crews arrived just before 7:30 a.m. to find smoke billowing from the home.
Upon entering the home, firefighters discovered a chair and other contents in the living room on fire. Fortunately, the home was reported vacant at the time, and no injuries were sustained in the incident.
The Clark Mills Fire Department, with assistance from the Clinton and Westmoreland fire departments, worked the scene. An ambulance from the Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps was on standby as a precaution. Law enforcement support came from the Kirkland Police and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, who are now assisting with the ongoing investigation. National Grid also responded to the scene.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
