GOVERNOR HOCHUL'S REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE VISITS UTICA, HIGHLIGHTS SNUG PROGRAM'S IMPACT ON GUN VIOLENCE REDUCTION

UTICA, NY – Carli Rightmier, Regional Representative for New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, paid a visit to the headquarters of a leading Utica-based program aimed at reducing gun violence. During her visit, Rightmier spent time with the SNUG team to gain insights into the program's successes and challenges, particularly its role in decreasing gun violence and increasing participation in SNUG among high-risk individuals in the Utica community.



In recognition of these efforts, Carli Rightmier presented the team with a Proclamation from Governor Hochul’s office. The Proclamation honors the program’s significant contributions to reducing gun violence in Utica and highlights the effectiveness of such initiatives across New York State. The acknowledgment not only recognizes the achievements of the Utica team but also underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in combating gun violence statewide.
