Dunkin' Donuts Temporarily Closed After Chemical Exposure Incident

UTICA, NY – The Dunkin’ Donuts on Mohawk Street was temporarily closed around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday after several employees reported feeling dizzy. Workers believe the cause was related to contractors working on the roof of the building at the time.



Firefighters who responded to the scene investigated the incident and confirmed the presence of a chemical reading and requested additional assistance to evaluate the situation. An ambulance was called for an employee who experienced chest pain. According to initial reports, the workers on the roof were using a type of glue containing strong chemicals, which is suspected to have caused the issue.



The exact number of employees who fell ill has not yet been confirmed. The store has sinced reopened.
