Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Deerfield

Deerfield, NY – December 20, 2024 – Around 11:04 a.m. on Friday, a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Walker Road and Cosby Manor Road in the Town of Deerfield resulted in personal injuries.

Kelsey S. Hamacher, 31, of Deerfield, was driving a black 2013 Dodge westbound on Cosby Manor Road when she lost control of her vehicle due to excessive speed under hazardous conditions. The car crossed the intersection and struck a utility pole, causing significant damage.

Hamacher sustained neck and back injuries and was transported to Wynn Hospital by Kunkel Ambulance for treatment. She has since been issued a citation, with a court appearance scheduled at a later date in Deerfield Town Court.

Emergency responders from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Deerfield Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance, and New York State Police were present at the scene to assist with the incident.
