ARRESTS MADE IN SCHUYLER FOLLOWING STOLEN VEHICLE AND ASSAULT

SCHUYLER, NY – On August 28, 2024, State Police arrested two individuals in connection with a stolen vehicle and an altercation in the town of Schuyler. Jason A. Pasquale, 38, of Utica, and Jessica S. Thomas, 44, of Little Falls, were taken into custody following a dramatic series of events.
The incident unfolded when the owner of a stolen vehicle, along with a friend, spotted their vehicle and followed it until the suspect, later identified as Pasquale, parked on Millers Grove Road. A confrontation ensued between Pasquale and the vehicle owner's friend, which escalated into a physical altercation. During the scuffle, Jessica S. Thomas intervened and struck the friend in the face, causing a laceration. The injured party was transported to Wynn Hospital for medical treatment.
Pasquale faces multiple charges, including Forgery in the 2nd degree (a class "D" felony), Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree (a class "D" felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree (a class "D" felony), False Personation (a class "B" misdemeanor), False Written Statement (a class "A" misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree (a class "A" misdemeanor). After his arrest, Pasquale was arraigned and then released to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant.
Jessica S. Thomas was arrested for Assault in the 2nd degree (a class "D" felony) following her involvement in the altercation. She was released on her own recognizance after her arrest.
