A Tragic School Shooting in Wisconsin Resulted in Fatalities

MADISON, WI – December 16, 2024 – A tragic school shooting unfolded at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison on Monday morning, leaving three people dead and several others injured just days before Christmas.

The Madison Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at the school, located at 4901 East Buckeye Road, shortly before 11 a.m. Central time. Upon arrival, officers discovered six individuals with injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to life-threatening.

Authorities confirmed that three people, including the suspect, died in the incident. The suspect, believed to be a student at the school, was found deceased inside the building.

In the wake of the shooting, several area schools were placed on lockout as a precaution. Flags have been ordered to fly at half-staff across the state to honor the victims.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing as authorities work to determine what led to the attack.
